Dulcie’s work often involves pedagogical approaches, embracing teaching, learning and knowledge as integral parts of her practice.

Recently graduating from Goldsmiths University with an MA in Arts & Learning, Dulcie is Head of Art at Graveney School in Tooting and is also a co-founder of All Collective (an art collective that focuses on ecology, the act of self-care and collaborative participation) Instagram

Having studied for a BA in Fine Art at Kingston University, Dulcie is a mixed media artist whose work explores the act of walking and the sensations this evokes, through the reuse and repurposing of photography and found objects.

“To walk is to encounter; I see the process of walking as a way of gaining a deeper engagement with my inhabited environment. My walks are located within the city of London, in which I work, live and study. My practice expresses an attachment to the spaces I coexist in, connecting self and other by creating new perceptions of familiar localities.

My choice of materiality has allowed me to question the relationships between the layers of history within an urban area. I distort the landscapes and found objects deliberately, creating compositions to question the conformations against the societal norms of inhabiting city life. I combine the relationships made between the walks I have taken, the objects I have stumbled upon and the senses I have embodied.”
